Who is Jesus?

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities -- all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” Colossians 1:15-20

Water Baptism is a celebration of death to self and new life with Jesus as Leader and Lord. It is a physical and tangible demonstration of the mystery of salvation for all to see. We believe that the saving work of salvation is through faith in Jesus alone but that water baptism is the public declaration of the inward change of the heart. (Romans 6:1-4)

SOMA Groups

At Soma, we don’t have small groups, we are small groups. Our hope is that every person will share in the life of Soma through attending weekend services, giving, serving, and engaging in groups. Our groups are a free marketplace where you can join together for fun activities like hiking, sports, or other hobbies while still encouraging others in prayer and thoughtful discussion. We offer groups on a short-term semester basis so that there’s always an empty seat for a new face at every group.
